We actually live in Center Line (within Warren). Around 2004 I believe, we had AMR replace our failing garage roof with what I recall is the "shaker shingle", in "Hazy Grey". They put a duravent down the center of the peak. The garage is much cooler in the summer heat compared to outside, and of course we will never need to put another roof on it. Around 2010, Frank Farmer saw our request for an estimate on getting the house roof replaced. He was out for the garage estimate so he said he recognized our name and had to come out and see us. We ended up choosing the Oxford Shingle, which from a distance looks more like a standtard shingle; same color, Hazy Grey. Any time we notice any potential issue (which have always been very minor, or have a question, AMR helps or sends someone out; it never has cost us a dime for their time or attention to the issue. The roofs look great - even the coating is perfect, and shed water and snow very easily, leaving less weight on them. Never any leaks of course, and no storm has caused any issue to these aluminum, interlocking shingles. And, the gutters stay cleaner, as there are not pebbles from the typicaly asphalt shingles. Yes, these are pricey products, but to me, this is the standard. It's the top of your home. It protects everything under it, so why put something on that is disposable? Somehow we think the top of the house is okay to wear out every so many years. Thanks, Frand and AMR. Still thankful for these roofs.
